From the recording Midnight Honey
“Midnight Honey” is a springtime-breezy, up-tempo Americana Folk-Pop ‘Beth-song’, inspired by the wild and sweet personality of my 10 year old cat, Sienna, who came to me in a rainstorm as a hungry and homeless baby. Everyone knows I’m in love with cats - so with this song, I pay tribute to one of my all time favorites. 😻

Lyrics
Midnight Honey - words and music by Beth Wimmer (SUISA)
Child of the wild soft and thin
Runnin’ from the rain found her way in
Shelter, love and food she grew up good
Nighttime comes she’s out there in the woods
Midnight Honey, underneath the tree
At the top of the hill, in the bend of the path
Sweet and sunny, glad enough to be
In the moment now, not looking back
And not in any hurry
She can go alone she’s got the skill
Knows how to love and to kill
Early morning lovin' on her mind
Evening falls i wonder if i’ll find
My Midnight Honey, underneath the tree
At the top of the hill, in the bend of the path
Sweet and sunny, glad enough to be
In the moment now, not looking back
And not in any hurry
Never in a worry 'bout the future
Lightning and thunder and she’s running out the door
Doesn’t understand i’d keep her safely from the storm
And together we could weather All the danger in this world
Midnight Honey, underneath the tree
Sweet and sunny, glad enough to be
In the moment now, not looking back
Midnight Honey underneath the tree
At the top of the hill, in the bend of the path
Sweet and sunny, glad enough to be
In the moment now, not looking back
